There is a lot going on under the Big Sky. Our calendar of events offers an endless array of activities from the Discover Traveler’s Rest event commemorating the anniversary of Lewis & Clark’s visit to the Lolo area to the annual gathering of mountain man for Clark Bottom Rendezvous. This section gives you the ability to scour the four corners of the state for interesting things to do.

Montana Indian Events Calendar:
Experience Montana's rich tribal culture. Being Painted Tribal events include Pow wows, ceremonial and social gatherings where traditional indian dress is worn and rituals are performed as they have been for hundreds of years.

The Discovery Expedition of St. Charles, Missouri:
is a cadre of reenactors who are commemorating the 2003-2006 Lewis & Clark journey on the Ohio, Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Their travels through present-day Montana begin at the Confluence of the Missouri and Yellowstone rivers in late April. Dressed in authentic period clothing and traveling in handcrafted replicas of the keelboat and pirogues, members portray specific individuals of the 1803-06 L&C Expedition. The Corps of Discovery II: 200 Years to the Future:
is a bicentennial commemorative exhibit led by the National Park Service. The exhibit is designed to provide visitors of all ages an overview of the original 1803-06 Lewis and Clark Expedition and a look at life along the Trail since the conclusion of the Expedition. Corps II includes a visitor center display, a performance venue, a 33-foot long keelboat and a 16-foot diameter Indian tipi. Eighteen Montana communities will host Corps II in 2005 and 2006.
